My third year project (geometry and architecture)

I'm doing this project on geometry and architecture, looking at historical and contemporary and putting my geometry into my arrchitecture exterior. I will be building a city of geometry and my final outcome will be wall covering.
For this project I've been inspired by Kirath Ghundoo, a designer that works from initial hand drawing and sketches capturing inspiration, translating drawing into illustrator and photoshop. I love her fabulous wallpaper prints, specially her Mix 'n' Match 11 wallpaper designs

                                                                                                   My colour palettes

hand painted these set of colour palettes
which took me about an hour an half to paint each one!!!!!                                   did these set in half an hour by using Illustrator techniques

Seeing the Fist Cut Competition at Manchester Art Gallery inspired me to add some cutwork to my work.

A master of color and geometric composition

                                                                                           Andy Gilmore
another designer that I came across with is Andy Gilmore, his work is often characterized as kaleidoscopic and hypnotic, though it could just as well be described as visually acoustic, his often complex arrangements referencing the scale and melodies in music.
This illustrator by him is surprisingly simple and geometric, but when seen as awhile, emotional and hypnotic.

I absolutely love his digital artwork and his use of geometric shapes and bright colors. I love how just the use of shape and color creates such a extraordinary 3D effect, really inspire me!!!

Alithia Spuri Zampetti

Today I came across a new designer, I know a few of you will already be familiar with her work.
Her name in Alithia, a young talent designer who graduated from Central Siant Martins. Her first collection inspired by the Japanese Furisode                                     features tailored denim dresses and overgrown foam collars. And got her the L’Oreal Young Talent Award 2008.

I love the way that she’s incorporated the geometric drawings into the garment, really inventive and original, amazing designs and creativity!!!

Kirath Ghundoo

I think her work is so different to anything else in the interiors world right now. I love the color palette that she works with and the unique combination of pattern that she uses, also the fact that her work could work in any kind of space and you can make your own patchwork wall make me happy, very cool.
