Start working on CAD, mainly illustrator

I wanted my collection to have modern look to it, so for that reason I decided to work from a collection  of modern architecture buildings.
I started by taking the images on to illustrator and take outline drawings of these building so I can use them to built my design with. The important thing that I had to do when drawing the outline was, I needed to separate every layer so each section of that building can be use on its own and to make the job essayer for myself I chose different colour for each layer that I drew, as you can see the outline shape of each building has different colours to it.

inspiration for final project (Geometric)

from the start of this project I started looking at different areas for inspiration, website such as http://www.wgsn.com/, http://www.coolhunting.com/, http://www.designboom.com/, http://www.dexigner.com/, and also looking at different wallpaper designers such as William Morris, David Hicks, Vivienne Westwood and Kirath Ghundoo. And for the architecture inspiration I looked at  book such as, architecture today, charles jencks architecture today and architecture now by Philip joadido.

Wrapper At Edgware road
Wrapper is a new permanent work of art by Jacqueline Poncelet, it has been created for the sole purpose of 'wrapping' a new building and perimeter wall next to Edgware Road (Circle Line) Tube station.
The work 'wrapper' is made from vitreous enamel and has a continuous collection of patterns the cover the entire frontage of the building to beautiful effect almost like it was a wrapped up Christmas present which is fitting given the time of year.
Each pattern covering the building next to Edgware Road relates to a different part of the local area telling stories of the place that it now sits in like a patchwork quilt.

my designs for Bradford competition

The Bradford Textile society Design Competition 2013
For the entry of that competition I've gone back to my last years work which Inspired by graphic florals and 'hyper real' nature, the designs for fabric blinds have been created on adobe photoshop developing leaf inspired print repeats that mimic trellis patterns, and all over repeats which reflect luscious floral gardens.
My entry is submitted for category P2 that is a printed interiors textile design for the domestic market. The designs for that entry should be drawn in repeat, using no more than 16 colours and should be suitable for printing onto a 54" wide fabric, by the rotary screen method. Designs should be suitable for domestic curtains, cushions or fabric blinds.

Technical notes: Main sample repeat type: block repeat, Repeat size: designed to scale up to 32cm x 32cm, Manufacturing process: rotary screen-printing, Dyestuffs: reactive, Number of screens: 14, Base fabric: cotton satin or alternatively cotton panama, Proposed outcome: blinds.
